    Product Development Project Manager

    Job description

    An outstanding opportunity within a truly global asset management Product Development team to lead strategic change initiatives for the SA business.

    The ideal candidate should be an experienced asset management professional, having worked in, or in close proximity to, a product development team and have the personal attributes to drive challenging projects from early development through to final delivery.

    The role will suit someone who has a strong knowledge of the inter-relationships between the different asset management business units, excellent interpersonal skills and a proven track record of senior stakeholder management.

    Key responsibilities (but not limited to) include:

    • A strong initial focus on project management of product related SA and Private Markets initiatives
    • Assisting with the product feasibility process and executing the product plan post the relevant approvals
    • Ensure that the project budget/timelines/milestones/resourcing and scope are managed
    • Keep project documentation up to date throughout the life of the project
    • Identify project issues & risks and manage mitigation of same; challenge consensus and ensure options and solutions are examined rigorously
    • Follow the consistent product project process and provide project reporting / MI for relevant team/committee reporting
    • Communicate efficiently and effectively, engaging proactively with all key stakeholders across the business
    • All of the above will involve coordination of project team members
    • Support global product change initiatives where relevant and as required
    • A strong understanding of the regulatory, risk management and wider compliance environment is an important requirement of this role.

    Technical Knowledge and Experience

    • Degree qualified (B. Bus. Sci or similar preferred)
    • Minimum of 5 years’ asset management experience essential
    • Project management experience advantageous
    • Working knowledge of key areas such as investment management, distribution / client management, front, middle and back office operations
    • Working knowledge and a clear understanding of the regulatory landscape in which we operate

    Additional information
