    Business Development Manager

    Job description

    The Business Develop Manager (BDM) we are looking for is a commercially astute individual who creates a successful business by sourcing, identifying, developing and retaining high yielding business travel accounts. The BDM has to be capable to exceed client needs according to the Atlantis Corporate Travel standards. Our Business Development Managers are supported by a team of Business Travel Consultants, so although travel experience is an advantage, your sales skills are the priority!

    To effectively fill the role of a Business Develop Manager, you’ll need to have the following skills and capabilities:

    Sales Competences and Personal Attributes

    • Driven, positive and self-starter attitude
    • Excellent presentation and strong negotiating skills
    • Ingenious Lead sourcing to grow client base with various target markets
    • Enjoy Networking to grow database
    • Meet Daily Cold Calling and Appointment Targets
    • Successfully confirming quality appointments
    • Ability to understand the clients’ needs
    • Acquiring commitment from your client
    • Ability to Grow business to full potential
    • Organised person with great time management skills
    • Well-presented when attending client meetings

    Customer Focus

    • Develop multi-level relationship building is paramount
    • Key Account Management is key to retain/grow clients
    • Follow through regarding complaint handling and take ownership
    • Offer tailor-made solutions through problem solving
    • Financial Analysis and Business Acumen
    • Understand KPI targets including turnover & commission
    • Ability to exceed Sales Targets on a monthly basis
    • Sales Reports to be submitted on a weekly basis
    • Understanding an uncapped earning potential y to exceed targets

    Qualification and Experience Requirements

    • Minimum Matric but a Sales related Diploma or Degree an advantage
    • Ideally experience within the Travel Industry but not essential as training will be provided.
    • Advantage - 3 to 5 years proven sales experience in B2B Sales
