    Sourcing Manager

    Job description

    To effectively source bulk/ finished product from alternative manufacturers, conclude supply agreements and operationalize commercial elements of all other contracts for supply of product to South Africa and International Affiliates for Pharmacare IP. To manage both the supply and price risk to Aspen and leverage best value for the group.

    Requirements

    • Pharmaceutical/Commercial/Supply Chain Degree
    • 3 years commercial/pharmaceutical experience
    • Financial/Commercial knowledge relating to budget principles, price negotiation, COG’s, transfer pricing
    • Sound knowledge of production, RA, QA, import and export requirements impacting the Supply Chain
    • Advanced PC – literacy – MS Office, Intermediate Excel, Doc Compliance , Baan essential
    • Knowledge of Incoterms, contract management
    • Sound negotiation skills essential
    • Project management skills with a sound knowledge of new product launch activities

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Source alternative suppliers for bulk/finished product according to standard operating procedures. Provide feedback on weekly basis to Head of Strategic Sourcing.
    • Negotiate best supply price using P&L’s and IMS/MIMS, terms of supply and minimum order quantities in line with demand and batch sizes. Baan updated and maintained accordingly
    • Conclude confidentiality agreements , memorandums of understanding and supply agreements together with Legal and manage contracts on an annual basis to ensure it is reflective of current ways of working
    • Operationalize commercial elements of all contracts to ensure on time supply of new launch products as well as commercialised products
    • Overall relationship manager for allocated suppliers
    • Co-ordinate and plan meeting requests with suppliers.
    • Set budget, forecast and tender standard costs, freight, duties and expenses for product portfolio allocated and measure quarterly/annually with comments for variances. Expenses include realignments cost, stability costs and Capex.
    • Evaluate impact of Single Exit price changes on cost of goods and standard costs
    • Establish cost containment/reduction strategies and achieve budgeted PV task
    • Accountable for and manages spend for products from allocated suppliers
    • Document problems with proposed improvement suggestions and implementation timelines
    • Internal & external customers/suppliers are constantly updated as to the progress of their queries
    • Liaise with Freight forwarder regarding shipping of stock where necessary – evaluate sea vs air freight quotes
    • Perform critical negotiations around supply and pricing annually
    • Maintenance of ERP system related to item master creation/updates, supplier master updates/pricing updates
    • Complete and approve prelim costing
    • Assist finance when requested with credit notes for damages/ customer returns/incorrect pricing/ write offs
    • Expedite commercial feasibility evaluations
    • ( calculate/interpret margins/mark-ups) and analysis of costings with identification of cost drivers
    • Monthly reporting on all activities
    • Responsible for the development and maintenance of all SOP’s for the department in DocCompliance
    • Interface with launch team for commercial elements of product launches
    • Preparation of realignment/rework and special request forms .Log rework requests with supplier as per SOP obtain quotes for approval
    • Responsible for efficient department and compliance to Quality system
    • Responsible for logging change controls in Trackwize for any commercial changes
    • Review of and comments on monthly pricing variance reports for finance.
