Accountant at Aurecon

Job description

Aurecon South Africa is seeking the services of an accountant in the Lynnwood Bridge Office. Duties will include:

• Cash and Bank:
• Capturing and reconciling monthly transactions with a strong focus on cash management
• Management of foreign currencies
• Month-end reporting requirements
• Liaising with the various banks as information requests come in
• Supporting branches and queries
• Managing Instalment Sales Agreements as required
• Bank account administration
• Reporting to management on the cash position of the group as required
• Fixed Assets:
• Assist with Fixed Asset management (budget approvals)
• Maintenance of Fixed Asset Register and accounting entries

To be successful in this role you will need;

• BCom Accounting Sciences or BCom Accounting Sciences (Honours)
• 3-5 years financial accounting experience
• Strong Excel skills
• A good understanding of foreign currencies
• Be able to multitask, prioritise and respect deadlines
• Work accurately and efficiently
