Financial Accountant - Hertfordshire at Abacus Consulting

My client, a well–respected organisation in their industry, require a Financial Accountant to join their head office finance team. This is a newly created role that has arisen as a result of a recent restructure. Reporting into the Financial Controller, the Financial Accountant will be responsible for:

• posting journals,
• accruals,
• reconciliations,
• preparing the trial balance,
• maintaining capital expenditure and depreciation schedules,
• maintain the general ledger,
• statutory accounting and annual returns, year end/audit support.
• You will also be involved in tax, vat, treasury and ad hoc financial support as required.

Qualification and Skills

• The ideal Financial Accountant will be ACA or ACCA Qualified or Finalist with proven experience in financial accounting.
• In addition to this criteria you will have strong Excel and systems skills,
• and be confident working as part of a team and building relationships at all levels.
