We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an IT Infrastructure Engineer to be based in Cape Town, South Africa. You will oversee the maintenance of both the LAN/WAN and Data Centre used by the Corporate teams and connected business units.

Your main responsibilities will include;

• Assisting in presenting to management recommendations related to purchasing and installing hardware, software, and telecommunications equipment
• Monitoring network performance
• Managing the deployment of appropriate security patches, hot fixes and software updates
• Management of licenses for all operating-system related software
• Supervising network backup according to a regular schedule
• Participation in the development of policies, procedures, and resources that standardise the functioning of the network
• Maintaining up to date documentation of applications, systems, and network equipment
• To enforce IT standards and educate employees about compliance issues
• Managing user accounts for employee hires, changes, and terminations
• Reporting of any problems to the group director of IT-Corporate.

Qualifications;

• MS Azure certification, CompTIA or equivalent technical degree, ITIL Practioner
• Certification.

Key requirements;

• 2 years’ experience in IT systems engineering
• Must have expertise knowledge of TCP/IP, IT infrastructure, Microsoft technology stack, converged networks, IT security.
