    IAF Sales Manager

    Job description

    The position is for IAF Sales Manager join a dynamic team and company that is based in Edenvale.

    MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

    The incumbent is required to co-ordinate the promotion, Sales and business Development in the Industrial Air Filtration Division’s sphere of expertise and to ensure that equipment and systems supplied to the market/End users is correctly applied and fit for purpose. He will ensure consistent, profitable growth in sales revenues through positive planning, deployment and management of sales personnel. Identifies objectives, strategies and action plans to improve short- and long-term sales and earnings.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Builds, develop and maintain markets for IAF
    • Identifies trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements; tracking individual contributors and their accomplishments.
    • Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business
    • Develops negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new venture with company strategies and operations; examining risks and potentials; estimating partners' needs and goals.
    • Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
    • Plan approaches and pitches, Planning and preparing presentations
    • Build relationships and communicating new product developments to prospective clients
    • Present new products and services and enhance existing relationships
    • Forecast sales targets and ensure they are met by the sales team
    • Track and record activity on accounts and help to close deals to meet these targets
    • Identify opportunities for campaigns, products and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales
    • Consult with USA/Europe product Development Division on business/product trends with a view to developing new products, services and distribution channels
    • Attend industry functions, such as book fairs and seminars, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends
    • Providing Senior management with feedback on trends and development
    • Effective communication between IAF and DFSPL departments

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    • A university degree in marketing or business studies is preferred
    • A Post graduate Diploma in business management/development or an MBA (advantageous)
    • A minimum of seven years of related Sales experience or training in a similar role or (Mining, Cement, Grain, Pharmaceutical, manufacturing or service) sector; or the equivalent combination of formal education and experience.
    • Problem-solving and analytical skills to interpret sales performance and market trend information.
    • Proven ability to motivate and lead the sales team. Experience in developing marketing and sales strategies.
    • Minimum 7 years’ experience in a similar role
    • A valid driver’s license.
