    Brand Manager SEA - Cardiovascular

    Brand Manager SEA – Cardiovascular

    The Cardiovascular Brand Manager in the South and East Africa region will be responsible for developing Cardiovascular marketing strategy for South East Africa – adapted to market environments for each country and aligned to the global marketing plan. The Brand Manager is accountable for creating messages with the benefits of the products to healthcare professionals, to meet the needs of the market and achieve agreed sales targets.

    This position will have primary responsibility for the following:

    • Manage the allocated annual promotional budget.
    • Develop marketing plans for new and existing products for South East Africa
    • Launch products within South East Africa in line with global and local marketing strategies.
    • Communicate marketing strategies and tactics to field force.
    • Conduct field visits in order to ensure effective strategy roll out and correct messaging and coach or develop field force where necessary and also for the Brand Manager to better understand the market needs.
    • Build and manage relationships with key influencers / opinion leaders.
    • Monitor stock levels to ensure appropriate and timely product availability.

    Essential requirements:

    • Broad understanding of the Cardiovascular or parallel markets within South and East Africa, including new product or service development, product and service lifecycles and key customers
    • Strong understanding of the competitive landscape within the sector including competitor products / services strategy
    • A detailed knowledge of the different customer segments and their relevant needs and buying behaviour
    • Able to identify new opportunities to increase brand value through promotional activity; able to support others' understanding of the brand; capable of tracking brand value.
    • Experience and understanding of deep reporting, data and analytics
    • Previous experience of managing budgets
    • Must be prepared to travel up to 50% of the time

    Desirable experience:

    • Fluency in English & Portuguese (desirable)
    • Medical or Business Degree
    • Previous experience of working across sub Saharan Africa in specifically Kenya and/or Angola
