    Vertical Sales Manager

    What will I be resposible for ?

    • The Vertical Sales Manager develops and implements, in collaboration with the business unit management and sales teams, strategies to maximize Siemens solution business potential in key assigned vertical markets
    • Line management of Vertical Subsegment heads - responsible for development, documentation, communication and implementation of vertical market strategies for Mierals, Oil and Gas/Petro Chem.
    • Implements systematic forecasting and tracking process for performance of Vertical Sales
    • Develops and maintains knowledge of the relevant markets and trends
    • Works with BU management to identify key areas of opportunity and develop appropriate go to market strategies for these
    • Direct responsibility for development of strategic projects, partnerships and customer relationships
    • Develops and maintains contact with relevant HQ stakeholders to further collaboration and knowledge transfer
    • Responsible for Business Unit marketing strategy
    • Support Siemens project acquisition process: go-no-go decisions, bid management, offer review and release
    • High level strategic negotiation with clients senior management
    • Order entry:Oil and Gas upstream midstream and downstream
    • Market transparency
    • Customer Satisfaction

    What do I need to qualify ?

    • Relevant technical degree or proven track record in business development for electrification, automation and digitalization technologies within the target industries
    • Experience managing both own and virtual sales or business development teams
    • Account management training and experience is an advantage
    • Proven track record in selling complex projects and solutions in the target industries. Oil and Gas industry experience is essential
    • Relevant experience working within companies/EPC's in the target industries is an advantage
    • Executing of large scale and small scale projects including implementation and the structure of projects would be an added adavantage
    • Must be willing to travel extensively throughout Africa , having worked in Africa would be an added advantage
    • Contracts management experience and implementation of the finance side would be an added advantage
    • Tender and bid administration experience will be an added advantage
