Job description

Position purpose:

To be responsible for the design, development, implementation operation and maintenance of Business Intelligence solutions solutions in accordance to user requirement specifications and in line with Development Life Cycle standards.

Position Specific Outputs:

• To be responsible for the design, development, implementation, operation and maintenance of Business Intelligence solutions
• Solutions must be developed in accordance to user requirement specifications and in line with Development Life Cycle standards
• Provide health care data to analysts
• Operate and maintain business intelligence models
• Strong focus on cube modelling as well as the design of underlying data marts / structures

Job Description

• Develop, test and implement coding solutions to improve and modify the HIU data mart.
• Continually increase understanding of client and stakeholder needs, satisfaction and service delivery
• Provide Specialist expertise and ensure best practice related to specialisation is implemented in projects

Experience:

• 3 - 4 years’ experience in Business Intelligence development/ systems design/ database design, including data warehousing and dimensional modelling concepts and Base SAS coding
• Knowledge of ETL concepts, such as source and target repository mapping, data cleansing and transformation and data profiling will be advantageous
• SAS, EBI, Oracle and Business Objects skills/ experience/ certification will be advantageous

Qualifications:

Bachelors or post graduate degree with majors in Computer Science
