Lending Product Manager at Yoco

ROLE | WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING?

You will be responsible for delivering and managing a portfolio of lending products build for Yoco’s large base of SME merchants. Yoco’s vision is to create a lending platform, integrated with existing payments infrastructure to cater to the diverse funding needs of Yoco merchants through a variety of products - the rapid development of this platform is enabled through close collaboration with a group of select parters.

You Will Need To Be Hands On

• Beginning by meeting with current merchants in the field,
• Determining their funding needs,
• Identifying the product requirements to meet these needs, and
• Driving the software, commercial and operational development to bring these products to market

To Succeed In This Role You Should

• Have a good understanding of the current SME credit ecosystem
• Posses research skills to analyze both the external market and Yoco’s current merchants, and be able to synthesize these two views
• Have the ability to articulate technical requirements of product development in a coherent and consistent manner
• Be comfortable project managing the pilot of these products including day to day engagements with lending partners and merchants
• Collaborate cross-functionally with almost every other function within Yoco, including Engineering, Design, Data Science, Operations, Marketing, Finance, Legal, Compliance, and Risk

Key Responsibilities

• Product roadmap
• Work with the team to craft the vision for the lending business
• Prioritise key lending products and develop a robust roadmap to bring these products to market and execute on the vision
• Collaboration with almost every other function within Yoco, particularly the software engineering, customer success and risk teams to continually sense check the roadmap
• User experience
• Yoco develops products in a thoughtful manner, prioritizing user experience over almost all other factors. In order to achieve this, you will need to:
• Conduct a careful analysis of all proposed user touch-points and journeys for a particular product
• Identify gaps and areas of improvement
• Create a technology specification to implement projects
• Partner selection and management
• Identify areas within the platform for Yoco to perform itself and areas for collaboration
• Selection of best in class partners for identified areas
• Management of relationships with partners
• Performance monitoring
• Continuous assessment of product fit to merchant needs
• Credit portfolio management - analysing and identifying under and over performing loans, their causality and feeding this data back into segmentation and targeting
