Job description

Job Purpose

Responsible for interpreting the business strategy into an integrated business process, technologies, information and application architectural framework for a programme of work/portfolio level and providing a high level roadmap for the implementation of the architecture. The architecture includes the following artifacts that will be developed and or assembled by the enterprise architects: Technologies, information and application artifacts and related metadata Policies Procedures Standards Principals Objectives. Provide guidance to programmes or large/complex projects via consulting with domain architects and peers involved in implementation projects. The architect will typically represent the company as a functional, industry sector expert.

Education

• IT Diploma / NQF Level 6
• ITIL Certification
• TOGAF certifications
• Current TOGAF IT Architect re-certification Program
• Object Orientation Development Qualification
• XML Based Integration Platform Qualification

Experience

• Minimum of 6 years relevant IT industry experience
• Specialized technical experience and knowledge
• Proven ability to solve complex problems
• Manage and mitigate risks
• Experience in Stakeholder Management including vendor engagement and related SLA’s
• Experience with the design & development of large scale ERP –type solutions
• Experience in Solution design is essential while Solution development would be an
• advantage
• Practical application of the TOGAF Architecture framework
• IT service management and governance using ITIL and CobiT
• Experience using Microsoft platforms
• Experience with security architecture related to protocols such as SNMP, HTTP, SOAP, SOA, Web Services
• Experience with secure coding practices, thread modelling, vulnerability assessment
• Experience with network and server security techniques and products including firewalls, VPN, Anti-Virus, Compression, Cryptography, Encryption, Patch Management, etc.
• Experience with Application Architecture governance standards in the jurisdictions in which Sun International have business interests
