    Group Marketing and Communication Manager

    Job description

    A leading global provider of Fleet Management, Stolen Vehicle Recovery and Insurance Telematics, with a strong focus on technology development and enhanced customer experience, based in Rosebank, Johannesburg, is looking to appoint a competent, highly energetic and self-driven Group Marketing and Communications Manager.

    The main purpose of this position is to develop, continually maintain and further enhance all aspects of the marketing and communications department in South Africa and its operations across 5 continents. These include advertising, branding, design, communications, sponsorships, digital and social media, public relations, events and corporate social investment activities aligned to company strategies and goals.

    Qualifications & Experience:

    • Relevant bachelor’s degree, preferably post graduate, in Marketing/ Journalism, and/or Communications.
    • Minimum of 8-10 years’ related experience.
    • Previous management experience is essential.
    • Substantial experience in written media, editing and publishing.
    • Knowledge and understanding of digital marketing will be beneficial.
    • Excellent knowledge and understanding of target audience profiles and how best to adapt writing, layout and graphic design to capture audience interest without compromising consistency of message and brand image.
    • Attention to detail - methodical, organised, precise, accurate and neat.

    Duties & Responsibilities will include but is not limited to:

    • Contribute daily to our mission that we provide all our clients and partners with superior quality technology and information supported by world class service.
    • Development, implementation and management of the global marketing strategy which include all aspects relating to advertising and branding.
    • Responsible for the management of all sponsorships and corporate social investment activities to ensure maximum value and exposure obtained.
    • Development, implementation and management of the company and group communication strategy including media, public relations, internal as well as external communications.
    • Ongoing and effective involvement, management and liaison with marketing agencies as well as production studios to ensure maximum brand exposure and value obtained.
    • Overseeing of the procurement, ordering and distribution of branded promotional items and materials.
    • Determining of the annual budgets and monthly monitoring thereof.
    • Ensuring all internal and external events are executed successfully.
    • Effective management of marketing department employees including mentoring, setting up of job profiles and performance appraisals.
    • Coordinating international marketing activities and ensuring alignment with the company corporate identity.
    • Adhering to prescribed business practises, policies and processes.
