Job description

• Technical Specialist with focus on DataPoint and connectivity.Project Management of Projects as they arise.
• Complete familiarisation with the products in the Alere portfolio
• Maintain Alere's technical services culture, values and reputation with all clients and partners
• Assist with establishment and growth of information base for Alere Instruments marketed in the African region
• Follow standards, policies, and procedures that govern all the functions of the technical services department
• Actively participate as trainer for the technical service on products sold through distributors, monitor and report on competitive activities
• Provide technical support for Alere products with special focus on Connectivity and Data Point supporting Alere Q, PIMA, Afinion and other instruments as they are brought online.
• Drive the development, implementation, and uptate of the DataPoint FSS APP.
• Report to Alere Healthcare's Director of Training and Technical Services on performance
• Effectively utilize all technical service department resources
• Maintain continuous performance levels
• Provide technical assistance to equipment users to answer questions or resolve equipment problems for clients in person, via telephone or from remote location as required
• Assist with the management of customer relationships and expectations with respect to POC System support
• Maintain necessary documentation for quality systems such as ISO
• Assist with the development of the understanding of technical service department potential
• Other responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelors degree related
• Industry experience
• 5 - 8 of related experience
• Microsoft Excel Software
• Microsoft PowerPoint Software
• PIMA- System support Skills
• Basic Computer Skills
• International travel and local travel may be required.
