Junior Marketing Manager at Tencent Africa

Tencent Africa Services (Pty) Ltd are looking to recruit a Junior Marketing Manager to join the Marketing team.

Main purpose of the role:

As the Junior Marketing Manager, you will work across multiple mobile applications involving, social communications, music streaming and live video streaming. You will report to the Senior Marketing Manager and assist the broader marketing team with growth strategies, creative briefs and general marketing team admin and operations. You will interface with various internal and external stakeholders namely agency partners, legal counsel, product team and data science teams.

What you will be required to perform:

• Create, manage and execute on creative briefs for the design team.
• Assist product teams with building out strategic campaigns, presentations and campaign operations.
• Manage and update budgets for campaigns and update internal stakeholders on weekly campaign performance across all products.
• Work with the broader Growth Marketing Team to ensure all deliverables are met and experiments are executed on time.
• Brief in campaign and supplier contracts for agencies and strategic partners with internal legal counsel.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest local and global marketing trends.
• Report on key competitor activity and strategies.
• Work well under pressure, make yourself accessible to all teams and take responsibility for your work.

Requirements/Qualifications and Experience:

The ideal candidate will have the following competencies:

• Minimum of 3 years work experience in a digital advertising agency (Client service/account management/strategy)
• A university diploma/degree in Marketing, Advertising, Media or Writing.
• Experience in a technology/branding environment (advantageous)
• Strong Microsoft Office skills.
