    Key Account Manager (FMCG Sales)

    Job description

    Purpose:

    The Account Manager/Trader will be responsible for contributing towards BRF Africa’s B2B commercial trading activities across several geographies of Sub-Saharan Africa, ensuring achievement of the overall commercial targets and consistent profitable growth for the regions.

    Specific Knowledge / Skills

    • Current eligibility to work in South Africa
    • Ability to Travel regularly and internationally, at short notice
    • French and/or Portuguese speaking
    • Knowledge and understanding of Sub-Saharan African countries
    • Thorough understanding of the B2B Sales cycle
    • Understanding of Go-to-Market and Route-to-Market Strategies
    • Commercially astute
    • Results Driven
    • Forecasting capabilities
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to influence others
    • Negotiation skills
    • Sales Planning
    • Managing Business expectations (Volume / Profitability / Brand relevance)

    • Budgeting and Report Management
    • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite)

    Experience:

    Essential:

    • Minimum 3-4 years B2B sales / trading experience
    • Minimum 2 years’ experience in FMCG / Consumer Goods environment, preferably poultry
    • Experience working in various Sub-Saharan African geographies

    Desirable:

    Experience in the meat and poultry sector

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Creating new business by acquiring new clients and selling to the existing accounts.
    • Contribute toward the achievement of the overall African commercial targets
    • Identify potential new market channels, geographies, consumer segments, and categories of business, and develop appropriate sales strategies (in conjunction with marketing) to address the opportunities (including but not limited to assessing the market potential, devising entry strategies, outlining distributor agreements, defining pricing and GTM approaches etc)
    • Interface with the operational plan to validate the right volume allocation per brand, distributor and country to the S&OP process based on the operational plan and country managers BRF Network management
    • Align the prices in monthly basis with the pricing team in Brazil and define pricing policies per category, brand and country
    • Analyzes sales trends based on historical data to ensure strong performance and close performance gap
