Purpose Of The Job

The Final Quality manages in his/her scope of work, will be responsible to ensure the conformity of the product and to help the continuous improvement on quality processes. Ensure the conformity of all the documentation and act quickly to solve quality issues.

• Based in the Manufacturing sites Dunnotar, Nigel where Manufacturing, Commissioning and Train Acceptance activities will be performed.

Mission
Measurement

• Number of defects on final product / at the delivery.
• PAC Report completion
• Non conformity treatment – curative / corrective.
• Inspection at the workstation – number of reworks, missing parts, NCR, derogations, modifications.
• Return of Experience at the workstation – decrease of the reworks.
• Reactivity to solve issues.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Ensure the conformity of the product delivered
• Leading a team to achieving and exceeding their objective.
• Ensure the respect of the Control Plan and Self Inspection at each workstation.
• Ensure QRQC and 8D methods are being followed when analysing the Root cause of the problem
• Ensure closure of open concerns – validate correct process followed.
• Ensure the sign of process is being adhered to on all necessary documents to complete the Delivery Log Book.
• To promote the Transport QMS, contribute to its definition, deployment and improvement in the Production line activities
• To continually search for effectiveness of QMS to support Business activities and to increase Customer Satisfaction.
• To animate the QMS network of the PL units.
• To be aligned to the Quality Director on transversal activities
• Day to day quality actions
• Compliance of the Production Line Management System with the Gibela requirements
• Respect of yearly Quality System event deadlines (process reviews, QMR, internal audits
• Effective management of action plans resulting from external or internal audits (actual progress consistent with closing deadlines)
• Buy off the final product before the release to the next assemble phase for delivery.
• Define the Demerit for each inspection / product.
• Attend the daily meeting in the workshop.
• Defined and communicate the quality acceptance criteria at each workstation.
• With manufacturing manager, train to use the self-inspection sheets.
• Suggest actions to improve the quality of the final product seen by the customer, especially the repetitive defects.
• Support manufacturing and industrial teams to apply improvement actions.
• Provide Training to members (quality / manufacturing / industrial) to the quality metier.
• Respect EHS rules and any work related processes.

Candidate Requirements

• Educational Requirements
• Diploma In Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Quality Management or equivalent
• IT literate (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• English fluency.

Desired Knowledge / Experience

• Management Role with +2 years’ experience preferably in the Fitting (Trim), quality environment, ideally in an international organization.
• Experience in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of Weld inspection
• General railway and Train knowledge.
• Working knowledge of Health & Safety standards.
• Experience in operational activities and in documentation management
• knowledge of Quality standard (ISO9001, IRIS) and quality tools
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and Electrical schematics
