Academic Au Pair | Craighall | R14 000 - R15 000 Per Month at Au Pair Extraordinaire

• Area: Craighall
• Children’s Ages: 8 years (Grade 2) and 12 years (Grade 7) - Girls
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday 10:00 - 17:00
• School holiday hours: Same as above / Slightly Flexible
• Duties: The role involves collecting the children from school and transporting them to and from extra murals and activities. Responsibilities include homework supervision and academic support, with a particular focus on Maths at a Grade 7–8 level where possible. The candidate will assist with and oversee general schoolwork, study routines, and preparation for assessments, as well as prepare light meals for the children.
• The role also includes grocery shopping, running general family and child-related errands, and ensuring daily routines, structure, and organisation are maintained. The candidate will engage the children in intellectually stimulating play and age-appropriate educational activities, while also providing occasional babysitting and weekend assistance by prior arrangement. In addition, the role includes assisting with admin and operational duties within the family’s software company during morning hours when required.
• Preferences & Requirements: The ideal candidate is described as smart, organised, efficient, and nurturing, with the ability to balance both childcare and administrative responsibilities. A strong advantage would be a candidate who can provide tutoring and supervision in Maths up to Grade 7 and 8 level. Strong time management, initiative, and the ability to work independently are essential.
• Employment Start Date: ASAP – permanent
• Salary: R14 000pm (Gross, before deductions) + R2000 per month fuel allowance

All Au Pair Extraordinaire applicants must fill the following requirements:

• Must have at least 12 consecutive months of formal child caring experience, excluding work done for friends and family. This experience must be within the last 2 years.
• Must have their own, reliable car and at least 18 months driving experience.
• Must have at least 2 contactable childcare references.
• Must have a clear criminal record
• Must have a passion for children
• Must have Matric
• Must have a South African ID document.
