Academic Technician

- The Department of Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering has a one-year fixed term position for an Academic Technician in the Faculty of Engineering and the Built Environment at Pretoria Campus.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Facilitate the operations of labs
- Maintenance of lab equipment
- Ensure that all equipment is treated with care and is not removed without proper authorization.
- Maintain discipline and compliance in the labs.
- Provide reports as required.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR ACADEMIC TECHNICIAN
Academic qualifications:
- National Diploma (NQF6) / B-Tech in Mechanical Engineering (NQF7).
Experience:
- At least 2 years of relevant experience.
- Registration with professional body (if applicable):
- Registration with ECSA will be advantageous.
