Job Description
Accountant:

• The above position is vacant within the Fidelity Security Group, based at the Florida Centre of Excellence.  The overall purpose of this position is to record, collect, analyse, and report on financial data specifically related to the Skills Development calculations, IT180 eligibility and reconciliations in terms of training spent, budgetary measures and monthly progress reporting of the Skills Development Department.  

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12/Matric certificate.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is essential.
• 3-5 years of advance accounting and finance experience.
• SAP experience would be an added advantage.
• Skills Development experience related to bursary claims, IT180 claims and submissions, training spent calculation and learnership funding and management.
• Accounts payable experience essential.
• Strong numerical/analytical accuracy and high methodical working methods are required.
• Proficiency in MS Outlook, MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel is essential.
• Demonstrate intermediate and advance MS Excel skills including VLOOKUP’s and pivot table.
• Strong administration and organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to liaise professionally with personnel, clients and institutions at all levels.
• Ability to work without supervision, under pressure and meet strict deadlines-Important.
• Clear Criminal Record.
• Must have own transport.
• Should reside within the Johannesburg/West Rand Area.

Key Performance Areas: (Not totally inclusive)

• Management of Intercompany processing including customer and vendors maintenance on SAP.
• Experience in the methodology of understanding learnerships, Bursaries, Skills Development Levies, grants and related legislation in terms of rebates and BBBEE scoring.
• Tracking of Internal and External payments.
• Review of Creditors /Reconciliations of accounts payable and receivable.
• Consolidation of MOS reports for respectable Manager/Executive.
• Preparation of monthly Board packs and Budget Forecasts.
• Processing /Remitting of monthly TAX/VAT/PAYE payments as well as resolve SARS queries.
• Managing of balance sheets and profit/loss statements.
• Online Banking/EFT approvals.
• Maintenance of Greenline General Ledger Reconciliation System.
• Review GL recons on Greenline and ensure all is in order for the Interim and Year End audit. The raise of any issues and long outstanding items.
• Comply with Financial Policies and Regulations.
