• Take ownership of accounting, payroll and statutory responsibilities across several group companies in a fully remote position.
• This role offers autonomy, broad financial exposure and the flexibility to manage your work independently while meeting key reporting deadlines.

Minimum Requirements:

• BCom Accounting degree or similar
• Minimum 5 years’ relevant accounting experience
• Advanced Excel coupled with Pastel Accounting and Sage Payroll experience
• Experience processing accounting transactions up to trial balance
• Experience working across multiple companies, including intercompany transactions and loan accounts
• Payroll, statutory reconciliation and SARS submission experience
• Experience with VAT201, EMP201 and EMP501 submissions and reconciliations
• Experience with provisional tax and income tax
• Strong supplier and VAT reconciliation experience
• Strong mathematical and numerical ability
• Able to work independently from home, manage time effectively and meet deadlines
• Manufacturing industry exposure would be advantageous

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Process accounting transactions up to trial balance across three to four group companies
• Process two company payrolls using Sage Payroll Professional
• Prepare statutory returns, including VAT201, EMP201, EMP501 reconciliations, provisional tax and income tax
• Complete supplier and VAT reconciliations
• Manage intercompany transactions and loan accounts
• Prepare audit schedules, asset registers, leave provisions and supporting documentation
• Respond to and assist auditors with queries during audit periods
• Check and verify payments on Standard Bank Business Online
• Maintain inventory records using Microsoft systems
• Complete Return of Earnings submissions
• Prepare UIF declarations and UIF claim forms
• Assist with management accounts, including income statements and cash flow statements
• Manage priorities, workloads and deadlines independently within a monitored remote environment
