Accountant at Salt South Africa

Requirements:

• BCom degree in Accounting or Finance (or similar)
• 4+ years of post-graduate experience in accounting
• Retail experience is a bonus
• Proficiency in IQ Retail / Sage Evo
• Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting
• Willingness to travel locally as required

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle Bookkeeping to Trial Balance
• Oversee daily Cash Ups and manage Cash Flow
• Conduct Creditor Reconciliations and Debtors Management
• Manage Inventory across multiple warehouses and lead Stock Takes
• Prepare and review Management Reports and oversee Branch Accounting
• Process Payments (FNB) and handle Salary Reconciliations
• Prepare statutory returns: Return of Earnings, Income Tax Returns, Provisional Tax Returns, VAT Returns, and VAT Recons
• Calculate Interest for Group Company Loans
• Assist in setting up financial processes for new branches
