Accounting Specialist at Novo Nordisk

The Position

As an Accounting Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and maintaining robust internal controls. You will directly report to Finance Manager.

Your main accountabilities will be:

• Financial Reporting: Prepare and submit accurate financial reports such as the Annual Questionnaire, Annual Report, and Tax Report in compliance with corporate guidelines and local regulations.
• Statutory Reporting: Ensure timely completion of financial and non-financial statutory reports, meeting all deadlines and regulatory requirements.
• Month End Reporting: Handle month-end postings, including accruals and provisions, and conduct monthly follow-up meetings with Business Support and local affiliates to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
• Internal Control and Compliance: Implement and maintain a robust financial internal control environment, adhering to corporate and local guidelines, to safeguard the integrity of financial data and ensure compliance.
• Process Standardization and Efficiency: Drive efforts to standardize and streamline accounting processes across the Business Area, promoting efficiency and maintaining a well-organized financial function. Additionally, support the goal of keeping the financial "House in Order" at all times.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree within Finance and Business Administration
• Minimum 7 years of an experience
• Strong accounting and/or tax knowledge
• Knowledge of SAP systems, Excel, Power Point is a must
• Good internal controls understanding
