Accounts Payable Specialist at Averda

Overview of Responsibilities 

• Managing Financial Transactions
• Daily capturing of invoices on Oracle and ensuring correct allocation of invoices to the relevant P&L and Balance Sheet accounts
• Weekly follow up on Open PO and RNI reports
• Monthly preparation of creditors reconciliations
• Reporting and Compliance
• Assist in the preparation of audit packs within defined timelines
• Compliance with all AP, IC policies and procedures 
• Risk Management
• Analyse current risks and identify potential risk around responsibility
• Report the risk tailored to the relevant audience
• Build risk awareness amongst team by providing support and training

Qualifications 

• Diploma/Degree in Accounting

Experience 

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in financial accounting

Skills and Knowledge 

• Strong experience in AP processes including payments
• Ability to do supplier reconciliations
• Understanding of the impact of AP on the financial results
• Sound understanding of financial management and wider management principles.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
• MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint (Version 2013)
• Accounting Software
