Actuarial Analyst | Tygervalley, Cape Town, at PSG Konsult Ltd

• We are seeking an ambitious and technically skilled Actuarial Analyst to join our Actuarial team. This role focuses on profitability analysis, but also includes other actuarial tasks like reinsurance, capital management and IFRS17. You will contribute to supporting strategic business objectives in a fast-paced, rewarding environment.

Responsibilities:

• Create reports and views using SQL and Power BI for analysis purposes and business reporting
• Analyse and interpret data, including identifying trends and deep diving into the details
• Communicate findings clearly through reports, visualisations, and presentations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Perform ad hoc investigations and analysis as required by business stakeholder
• Support in reinsurance modelling, IFRS17, capital requirement assessment
• Drive improvements in automation and integration of risk systems and reporting processes
• Develop and maintain management information reports using power BI
• Establish risk awareness throughout the organisation

Minimum requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science
• Progress toward or completion of A100 and A200 exams
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the short-term insurance industry

• Proficiency in Python (automation, modelling) and SQL (database management)
