Manage the team looking after the valuation of the investment products within the Groups Retail Corporate Actuarial.
The main output from the team is the IFRS earnings, EV earnings, SAM earnings as well as the SCR and other regulatory calculations. It is expected that the successful candidate be actively involved in the production and analysis of results
Responsibilities:
Quarterly valuations will include but not limited to producing, reviewing and reporting to the Head of the Actuarial Function IFRS earnings, EV earnings, SAM earnings, as well as SCR and cost of capital calculations.
Valuation model development as well as process improvements.
Managing team members as well as output required.
Engagement with business units to implement product upgrades as well as other requirements
Experience and Qualifications:
Must be a Qualified Actuary or nearly qualified.
BCom degree (or similar).
Must have 5 - 7 years' relevant experience, preferably within an individual life Actuarial Valuation function.
Previous experience on investment type products would be an advantage
