The suitable incumbent will be responsible for invoicing - Shipping documents

• Prepare sets of shipping documents after sailing
• Liaise with shipping lines on Bills of lading
• Liaise with customers on documents
• Ensure docs are sent out within stipulated time to avoid detention / demurrage costs
• Attending to queries from finance department and warehouse
• Accuracy on Bills of Lading to avoid manifest corrector costs
• Generate documents required for a shipment from the MAX system (invoice, Certificate of Origin, Packing List etc.)

Requirements

• The ideal candidate must have Grade 12 with Maths and Science.
• A Certificate in Business related studies would be an added advantage
• Must have 2 years relevant work experience
• Good knowledge and understanding of the business processes in Columbus.
• PC literacy. MAX and P6 knowledge will be an added advantage.
• Good organizational skills to an administrative role, effective time management and flexibility
• Excellent attention to detail
• Self-disciplined and committed to following strict procedures.
• Honesty and respect for confidentiality.
• Self-driven with a sense of urgency
