    Administrator Planning

    Minimum Required Qualification:

    • NQF 4 (National Senior Certificate or Grade 12 or Adult Senior Certificate) with numeracy and literacy.

    The Appointee should:

    • At least 1 year experience in an administrative Mining related discipline, working with mine data, related to Planning, MRM systems and survey data.
    • Medically fit to work in the specific business area.
    • Clear security screening record.

    Advantageous Qualifications:

    • Computer Literacy.

    Additional Requirements:

    • Valid driver’s license (if applicable).

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Build and maintain effective work relationships with stakeholders.
    • Determine stakeholder needs, expectations and requirements, with regard to data and information.
    • Collect the necessary data and information from stakeholders across mining, planning, and from information systems.
    • Check all planning data and information is received within accurate timeframes.
    • Extract specific data and formulate planning information.
    • Scrutinise data and information to verify the accuracy thereof.
    • Capture data to create reports for operations to ensure effective planning and continuous quality assurance and quality control.
    • Consolidate data and information and ensure the availability thereof.
    • Update reports based on new data and information received.
    • Represent all information in reports and graphs.
    • Verify captured data by balancing totals to ensure the accuracy and integrity of spreadsheets.
    • Identify incorrect data and communicate problems to the Superintendent Planner.
    • Compare new data and information with existing data, to identify trends and problem areas necessary for the proactive management of potential risks.
    • Compile Half level and Monthly Planning summaries per month and generate graphs, and distribute required information to relevant stakeholders.
    • Updated planning information from and to various stakeholders.
    • Resolve or escalate unresolved stakeholder queries and assist with problem solving.
    • Adhere to organisational best practices and information system controls, i.e. quality standards, policies and procedures.
    • Apply standardised methods in data capturing to ensure accurate and appropriate data representation.
    • Utilise appropriate feedback structures for safekeeping and effective distribution of information.
    • Ensure that all data captured is accurate and timeous.
    • Adhere to the administrative standards and requirements pertaining to information received and reported, i.e. backups, filing, data storage etc.
    • Conduct general administrative duties upon request of the Superintendent Planner.
    • Execute all administrative duties in line with set standards, processes and procedures.
    • Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders across the organisation and externally at all levels and cross functionally.
    • Ensuring open communication channels with all relevant stakeholders.
    • Leading and driving cost saving and cash conservation initiatives.
    • Actively support and meaningfully participate in the execution of the segment specific organisational development plan. This support will manifest in the targeted shift in culture as described by a valid culture assessment.
    • Align to international responsible mining principles.
    • SA PGM Operations: Enhance Together for Sustainability (eTfS) initiative.
    • Maintain and comply with SHE standards within the work environment.
    • Adhere to systems and framework requirements that serve to eliminate fatalities, serious disability and lost time injuries (zero harm).
    • Attend safety meetings.
    • Ensure compliance to organisational and legislative safety requirements by adhering to appropriate practices, standards and procedures.
    • Participate in risk assessments and investigate and take appropriate action as per identified risks.
    • Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures.
    • Approve department’s documents.
    • Comply with requirements of the Quality Management System.
    • Focus on safety and health as well as operational excellence.
    • Improve our position on global industry cost curve.
    • Understanding of short-term and medium-term planning.
    • Advanced knowledge of Excel spreadsheets and graph building.
    • Understanding of Technical Services environment.
    • Understanding of relevant legislation (Mine Health and Safety Act, Mining Act).
    • Knowledge of stakeholder liaison.
    • Knowledge of Planning Software applications.
    • Relevant mine standards and procedures.
