    Advanced Body Shop (ABS) Consultant

    Position Summary

    • The Advanced Body Shop (ABS) Consultant is responsible for providing Advanced Body Shop Solutions (ABS) to customers through consultancy services, detailed body shop analyses, technical support, and training. The role focuses on improving customer body shop operations, promoting consultancy services, supporting business development, and adapting global solutions to meet South African market requirements.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Conducting comprehensive body shop analyses using GPA and other consultancy tools.
    • Performing GPA analyses for customers to identify opportunities for operational improvements.
    • Promoting Advanced Body Shop consultancy services to both internal and external customers.
    • Delivering training to internal teams on consultancy tools and service offerings.
    • Developing internal support systems to enhance consultancy capabilities.
    • Presenting consultancy services at customer meetings, workshops, and industry events.
    • Developing additional consultancy solutions tailored to the South African market.
    • Supporting the sales team in securing new business opportunities by providing technical expertise and consultancy support.
    • Retaining existing customers through effective consultancy services and ongoing technical support.
    • Adapting global consultancy services to local market conditions.
    • Sharing local benchmarking knowledge and best practices with South African colleagues.
    • Supporting the rollout of Refinity solutions and serving as a Refinity Administrator and subject matter expert.
    • Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
    • Providing professional technical guidance to improve customer body shop performance.

    Minimum Requirements
    Qualifications:

    • Diploma or bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
    • Qualification as an Automotive Painter will be advantageous.
    • Experience: Proven experience in automotive body shop operations.
    • Knowledge & Skills: Strong knowledge of automotive refinishing processes. Excellent communication skills. Computer literacy.

    Additional Requirements

    • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
    • Valid South African Driver's Licence.
    • Willingness to travel as required.
    • Ability to adapt to changing customer and market requirements.
