AI & Automation Specialist at Profile Personnel

Job Description

• A dynamic organisation is looking for an AI & Automation Specialist to join its IT team. This is an exciting opportunity for a technology professional with 4–5 years’ relevant experience who is passionate about AI, automation, Microsoft 365 and improving business processes.
• This is not a traditional IT support role. The successful candidate will work closely with different divisions to identify inefficiencies, automate repetitive tasks, develop practical AI solutions and demonstrate the measurable business impact of technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify workflow bottlenecks, repetitive tasks and opportunities for automation.
• Design, build and maintain AI agents, automated workflows and digital solutions.
• Develop and improve solutions using Copilot Studio, Power Automate, Power Pages and SharePoint.
• Engage with users and departments to understand business requirements and translate them into practical technology solutions.
• Troubleshoot and maintain existing automation projects.
• Assess and quantify time savings, cost savings, productivity gains and operational improvements.
• Manage the AI and automation project pipeline, including priorities, risks and deliverables.
• Provide clear management/Exco reporting on projects, benefits, risks and next steps.
• Understand Microsoft licensing, permissions and technical requirements for proposed solutions.
• Work with developers, vendors and internal stakeholders where additional technical support is required.

Minimum Requirements

• 4–5 years' relevant experience in technology, systems, Microsoft 365, automation or a solutions-focused role.
• Proven ability to translate business needs into practical AI, automation and workflow solutions.

Hands-on experience with:

• Microsoft 365 licences, permissions and administration
• Copilot Studio, including building and improving agents
• Power Automate and workflow automation
• Power Pages, including Azure-related setup and permissions
• SharePoint
• Visual Studio
• APIs, integrations and data structures
• SQL database experience.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving and project management skills.
• Ability to assess and communicate the operational, time-saving and financial impact of technology solutions.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Comfortable preparing management and Exco-level project updates.

Advantageous

• Experience in AI adoption, digital transformation or automation rollouts.
• Experience working across multiple business divisions to improve processes.
• Stronger exposure to Microsoft Power Platform.
• Experience with Azure, particularly Power Pages, permissions, authentication or integrations.
• Exposure to Power BI, Microsoft Fabric or Python.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI or a related field.
• Equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
