AI Engineer at Praesignis

Job Description

• We are seeking an experienced AI Engineer to provide turnkey AI engineering capacity within a Finance Technology environment. The role will support and enhance existing AI-driven finance solutions while contributing to new finance transformation AI initiatives prioritised through standard Program Increment (PI) cycles.
• The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders to ensure reliable delivery, continuous improvement and scalability of AI solutions supporting financial decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support and maintain an existing Automated Finance Commentary AI solution, ensuring stability, accuracy, and performance.
• Design, develop, and implement enhancements and additional functionality to the Automated Commentary solution as prioritised through PI planning.
• Integrate new data sources into existing AI solutions where required.
• Contribute to and deliver on finance transformation AI initiatives as prioritised through normal PI cycles.
• Ensure monthly delivery of prioritised, planned, and allocated work in line with agreed acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to translate finance requirements into AI-enabled solutions.
• Provide ongoing technical support and optimisation of deployed AI solutions.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience as an AI Engineer, AI/ML Engineer, or similar role.
• Hands-on experience supporting and enhancing production AI solutions.
• Strong programming skills (e.g. Python or similar languages commonly used in AI engineering).
• Experience working with structured and unstructured data sources.
• Exposure to agile delivery environments and PI-based planning cycles.
• Experience working in or supporting Finance or Financial Services environments is advantageous.
