Ensure the personnel in all technical departments are of sufficient numbers and experience and have been given appropriate authority to enable them to discharge their allocated responsibilities, and there is full and efficient coordination between and within departments in respect of airworthiness matters,
Ensure equipment, tools, parts and materials are available to perform maintenance functions adequately as authorized by the AMO’s approved scope of work as required by the applicable Airworthiness Data, the AMO’s MOP’s and the CARs, and that these equipment and tools are controlled.
Calibrate specialized equipment and tools at an appropriate frequency according to an approved National Standard to ensure serviceability and accuracy.
Ensure at least one complete and current copy of the AMO’s MOP is held at each workplace as listed in the Distribution List of the MOP, and that each applicable part of the MOP is available to all personnel who require those parts to perform their duties to ensure that compliance is met.
Ensure that complete records are held of all certifying personnel, including the scope of their authorization.
Ensure that adequate records are kept of all maintenance performed by the AMO.
Ensure a copy of a CRMA or direct Logbook entry is provided to the Owner/Operator of the aircraft, together with a reference to any specific Airworthiness Data used for the maintenance performed as per standard operating procedure.
Ensure defects or conditions of an aircraft which may be hazardous to the safe operation of an aircraft are reported to the Director of Civil Aviation within 48 hours, and that the Owner/Operator of the aircraft is also informed of such defects or conditions.
Ensure all Airworthiness Data necessary to support the maintenance functions performed by the AMO is current and readily available.
Liaise with flight operations manager to ensure that all aircraft are maintained to ensure maximum uptime and are available when required.
Ensure all field breakdowns of aircraft are tended to without delay.
Required Qualifications/ Experience:
Minimum of 10 years’ experience as a qualified aircraft maintenance engineer
Qualified om King Air 100, 200 and 300, Cessna 406 series aircraft, Paternavia P68 series aircraft and Piper PA 31.
Qualified on PT6 and Lycoming Engines
Strong organizational skills
Ability to problem solve
Understanding of avionics
Willingness and availability to travel locally and internationally at short notice
