JOB DESCRIPTION

• To prepare credit applications and dealer approvals in alignment with risk and quality requirements that conform to Standard Bank’s lending policy

QUALIFICATIONS

• Qualification: RE 5 FAIS Certification required and relevant degree
• Experience in the preparation of credit proposals and analysing financial statements.  
• Liaises with the Business Development Manager / Relationship teams, clients and other stakeholders in order to understand the customer solution in order to prepare appropriate credit applications.
• Prepares relevant management information (including exposures) as input into further reporting.
• Pro-actively manages credit risk associated with the CAF importation transactions (e.g., forward exchange contracts, supplier payments, marine insurance, etc.).

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

• Liaises with Group Legal and prepares relevant master agreements for signature by client.
• Adheres to all the Bank’s credit policies and philosophies and addresses any policy breaches in order to mitigate risk.
• Communicates to BDM / RM the credit committee’s decision either through e-mail or a written document where required.
• Achievement of financial objectives through appropriate deal making
