Analyst Developer: Back End at Capitec Bank

Purpose Statement

• To be responsible for project design, development, implementation, and maintenance of Cobol based initiatives on the Core Banking platform at Capitec Bank. 

Experience
Min:

• At least 6 years’ proven experience in software development, project delivery and implementation 
• At least 6 years proven Cobol development experience within an on-line and /or batch environment
• Proven BaNCS experience 

Experience in the following development languages:

• Java
• Cobol 
• SQL 
• Control-M
• Linux
• Python  

Ideal:

• Banking and Finance experience 
• AWS hands-on experience
• At least 10 years’ proven experience in software development, project delivery and implementation 
• At least 10 years proven Cobol development experience within an on-line and /or batch environment

Qualifications (Minimum)

• Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational

Qualifications (Ideal or Preferred)

• A relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology
