Analyst – Outreach team at IHS Markit

Your Role

You will be part of our buy-side outreach team. This team is responsible for collecting and distributing fund level disclosure details from investors and portfolio managers worldwide. These disclosures are a crucial source of shareholding information presented to our clients in our shareholder identification reports. The Shareholder Identification (SID) group is the separate group responsible for the reporting and identification of institutional shareholders of major stock listed companies.

Your duties will include the following:

• Establishing and managing relationships with buy-side contacts (both telephonically and/or electronically)
• Obtaining fund level data
• Distribution of data
• Cold-calling
• Any other administrative or filling support required by the outreach team

This position is multi-faceted and requires verbal communications skills, oral and written proficiency in English and French, research skills and a basic knowledge of financial markets.

About You

• Successful researchers at IHS Markit are detail-oriented, exhaustive researchers and self-starters.

Key Qualifications and Skills:

• Excellent verbal and written command of the English and French language (additional languages advantageous)
• Degree in the related business field or equivalent related work experience
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to establish and maintain relationships
• Must be able to work well under pressure and be flexible to adapt to changes in a fast-paced working environment
• Knowledge of the buy-side, sell-side or capital markets is a plus but not required
• Any administrative experience will be considered as a significant advantage
• Familiarity or interest in the financial market will also be advantageous
• Self-motivated, takes initiative and enjoys new challenges
• Analytical and have strong problem-solving skills
