    Operations Analyst - M&A and Corporate Governance Advisory

    Duties and Responsibilities – “Your Role”

    The Operations Analyst role is a key function to the successful organisation and efficient management of the advisory group to ensure a smooth delivery process of market deliverables which will be measured in the quality and increased business revenue. The attached responsibilities will include supporting key strategic and operational decisions on various research and data initiatives that will require regular thorough audit into existing systems for improvement recommendations.

    The successful candidate will track completion of business tasks while at the same time monitor bottlenecks throughout the year as a primary responsibility and make recommendations to guide members towards an optimal model. With the team geographically spread in APAC, EMEA and North America, there will be a requirement to connect with multiple servicing centres during different time zones.

    The intensive nature of the role will require a highly organised approach and a strong logical reasoning skillset to meet operational challenges. Individuals with data analytics experience or relevant skillsets will be preferred.

    French Research Analyst

    Duties and Responsibilities – “Your Role”

    You will be a key member of the IHS Markit Content team. Reporting into the local Content management team, you will be part of our data base maintenance team, that ensures the information we are making public to our clients, is the most up to date and accurate version we have access to.

    Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • 50% of your time will be spent on the phone, trying to source or validate information
    • Web researching and analysing information
    • Capturing this data into our internal app
    • Coming up with innovative solutions in order to keep our processes as efficient as they can be

    • You are detail orientated person, that can make fast decisions based on what you gather through your research process.

    Key Qualifications and Skills:

    • Excellent verbal and written command of the English and French language
    • As this is a calling team, you must be able to ask probing questions on calls in order to get as much detailed information as possible and should not be easily deterred.
    • Ability to establish and maintain relationships
    • Must be very detail-oriented and able to capture this information into our internal application using IHS Markit research and style guidelines
    • Good online research skills and the ability to analyse existing sources of information as well as find new ones. Comfortable navigating official registries and experience with data entry is advantageous.
    • Must be able to work well under pressure and be flexible to adapt to changes in a fast-paced working environment
    • Knowledge of the buy-side, sell-side or capital markets is a plus but not required

    Technical Requirements:

    • Experience with Microsoft Office suit

    Analyst – Outreach team

    Your Role

    You will be part of our buy-side outreach team. This team is responsible for collecting and distributing fund level disclosure details from investors and portfolio managers worldwide. These disclosures are a crucial source of shareholding information presented to our clients in our shareholder identification reports. The Shareholder Identification (SID) group is the separate group responsible for the reporting and identification of institutional shareholders of major stock listed companies.

    Your duties will include the following:

    • Establishing and managing relationships with buy-side contacts (both telephonically and/or electronically)
    • Obtaining fund level data
    • Distribution of data
    • Cold-calling
    • Any other administrative or filling support required by the outreach team

    This position is multi-faceted and requires verbal communications skills, oral and written proficiency in English and French, research skills and a basic knowledge of financial markets.

    • Successful researchers at IHS Markit are detail-oriented, exhaustive researchers and self-starters.

    Your Role

    • Research and author highly presentable and in-depth reports, whitepapers on automotive technologies, benchmarking, supply chain dynamics, as well as automaker and supply chain strategies.
    • Data researching and processing, including graph and graphic creation.
