Architect / Development Manager at HR Studio (Pty) Ltd

We’re looking for…

• A highly motivated and experienced architect to join our team as the 2IC (second in command) to the Development Director with the long-term view of growing into Head of Development Management. The successful candidate will work directly with the Development Director to plan and execute residential estate developments.

Who are you?

• You have knowledge of building codes and regulations, and experience with construction management
• You have a strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively

What’s the role?

You Will Be Responsible For

• Assist the Head of Developments in planning and managing all development projects
• Work collaboratively with project teams, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
• Develop basic architectural plans, drawings, and specifications (full-scale building plans to be drafted by an external architectural firm)
• Analyze and recommend solutions to design and construction challenges
• Review and approve construction plans, designs, and specifications
• Manage project budgets and ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations
• Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure quality control and compliance with project plans and specifications
• Provide technical support and guidance to other team members
• Attend project meetings and provide updates on project progress and status
• Keep up-to-date with current trends, best practices, and technologies related to architecture and construction
