The Role

• The prestigious Faircape Group has a great opportunity for an energetic Architectural Technologist to join the team and grow within the company. Duties for this position include, but is not limited to the following

• Preparation of designs, plans and layouts for the group's healthcare centres and retirement villages, as they continue to be upgraded to be brought in line with world class standard facilities
• Onsite visits to measure houses in order to draft plans and preparation of drawings
• Keep plans and filing up to date
• Assisting the Project Team with quality assurance plans
• Provide administrative support to the design team/ issuing of drawings
• Snagging/ creating checklists
• Spatial planning
• Doing daily and weekly time and work flow management
• Updating the necessary database & templates
• Weekly reports and meetings on progress
• Coordinating design/ construction work
• Document controller

Requirements
Qualification Tertiary qualification in Architectural Technology (Diploma or BTech)
Experience And Knowledge

• 3 years experience in similar role in an architecture firm
• Experience working on housing projects
• Experience in site visits
• Knowledge of council regulations and submissions (advantageous)
• Coordinating presentations ( limited)
• Sketch up or 3D Drawing program is a help but not essential

• Skilled in Auto CAD
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to function well within a team
• Professional communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Problem solving skills and generating solution driven ideas
