BTT is currently recruiting for an Artisan Assistant to join the Maintenance Department at Richards Bay
The main purpose of the job is to assist Artisans in performing maintenance tasks; inspections; and minor fitting, electrical & instrumentation tasks that do not require qualified Artisans’ attention
Minimum Requirements
Matric
N3 Engineering (preferably Instrumentation or Electrical)
2 years engineering experience in a petrochemical environment or similar
Safety management (NOSA)
Duties and Responsibilities
Assist with comprehensive maintenance program to ensure equipment availability
Assist Artisans during maintenance breakdowns and preventative maintenance
Maintain high standards of housekeeping and safety in area of work
Dispose waste generated accordingly
Tag and return equipment removed for repairs to Stores
Maintain all tools and equipment in good working order
Perform periodic equipment inspections
Complete all preventative maintenance checklists
Remove and install minor equipment
Assist with ship connection/disconnection preparations
