Primary purpose of the job

• Assist with repairs and maintenance on press machinery to ensure customer and Company quality standards are met.

Key Performance Areas

• Assist with repairs and maintenance on press machinery to ensure customer and company quality standards are met.
• Assist with and do preventative maintenance as per maintenance schedule and  according to job cards and relevant works instruction.
• Compile feedback on time sheets to ensure accurate repair data and forward to the Team Leader.
• Ensure that company procedures, works instructions and quality systems are adhered to at all times.
• Participate actively in the departmental mini-business as per company requirement.
• Ensure that work practices comply with the company SHEQ procedures and works Instructions.

• Press machinery repair and maintenance
• Manufacturing processes
• Basic understanding of quality systems.

Minimum Requirements                                                                                  

• NQF 4/Matric  
• Min. 2 years’ experience as Fitter assistant within an automotive environment.
• Artisan trade would be added advantage
