ABOUT THE ROLE:

• This role is a permanent full-time position.
• As an Artisan Electrician, you will be responsible for timely installation, repair and maintenance of electrical equipment to ensure that mining activities are executed in a safe manner as well as operate equipment and tests all working parts in functional area to ensure proper utilization.
• Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:
• Interprets and coordinates pre-work with regards to repairs, planned and predictive maintenance;
• Accesses any area safely to perform necessary maintenance on machines or equipment;
• Performs safety inspections of equipment and assesses risks on equipment;
• Maintains a clean and safe worksite;
• Ensures the upkeep of maintenance tools and equipment;
• Coordinates activities associated with trouble-shooting and repairing maintenance equipment.

ABOUT YOU:

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

• Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience on Underground Mining Equipment ( Atlas Copco 282 rocket Bomer & Boltec 235H, Epiroc Boomer S2,  Bolter M10 or Epiroc Bolter MC;
• Maintenance and fault finding on Alley Bradley VSD’s, fixed plants, electrical Compressors, Winder, Shaft as well as medium voltage switchgear will be advantageous.
• Computer literacy in MS Office and 1SAP is advantageous;

Qualifications for this role are:

• Serious contenders will have Matric and N3 Technical certificate with a relevant Electrician Trade Test and a minimum of 1 year’s experience in maintenance;
• Valid Code 08 Driver’s license is essential.
