Zutari is seeking a skilled and motivated Infrastructure Asset Management Consultant with a background in Industrial Engineering. The successful candidate will work with our consulting team in developing planning, analytical and software solutions for clients who are grappling with the challenges of ageing infrastructure.
The Consultant will work with the team in driving institutional improvement and business process improvements with our clients, conducting business analysis to determine client asset management software functionality needs, implementing risk-based analytical frameworks to determine long-term rehabilitation and renewal investment needs for ageing infrastructure, preparing asset management plans, planning and managing infrastructure field assessments, and supporting the development and deployment of tactical dashboards that assist our clients with managing their ageing infrastructure
Role Responsibilities
Asset management consulting: Support clients with developing and implementing best practice asset management planning, analytical processes and software that enhances our client’s asset management capability.
Data analytics: Work with large asset data to conduct infrastructure lifecycle analysis, predictive modelling, and investment optimisation.
Presentations: Help prepare client presentations and participate in client workshops and interactions.
Systems solutions: Conduct business analysis with our clients to determine user needs, document needs and scope functional solutions. Provide technical guidance to our software development teams to develop client solutions, integrations between systems and dashboards.
Project management: Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met and deliverables are achieved.
Client engagement: Client consulting, presentations, training and support with change management at Zutari’s clients.
Travel: The successful candidate should be willing and able to travel and to spend time away from the office, in South Africa and Greater Africa, for time periods of a few days to weeks. The successful incumbent should be self-sufficient to travel to remote areas of SA and Greater Africa independently.
Minimum Requirements
BEng in Industrial Engineering
Evidence of progress towards ECSA professional registration would be advantageous
Minimum of 2 years overall experience.
Knowledge of databases such as GIS, Access and SQL/Server will be advantageous
Problem solving, communication, and technical report writing skills
Previous asset management experience would be advantageous
Knowledge of ERP systems would be advantageous
Valid South African driver’s license and with own reliable vehicle
