Assistant Director: Bid and Contract Management, Ref No. AGR 03/2025 at Western Cape Government

Job Purpose    

• The Department of Agriculture, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a suitably qualified and competent individual to manage the bid and contract administration. This post is stationed in Elsenburg.

Minimum Requirements    

• An appropriate 3 year B-Degree (equivalent or higher qualification); A minimum of 3 years supervisory level experience in Supply Chain Management, Public Management, Contract Management or related fields.

Recommendation    

• Experience in Public Sector Supply Chain Management, application of procurement regulations and principles, contract management, secretariat functioning.

Key Performance Areas    

• Manage and report on contracts; Render a secretarial service to the bid committees; Administer the bid process.

Competencies    

• Knowledge of the following: Public Finance Management Act; National Treasury Regulations; Provincial Treasury Instructions; Legacy system requirements and functioning; Record keeping procedures; Relevant systems (LOGIS); Skills needed: Written and verbal communication; Interpersonal relations; Numeric; Research; Strategic thinking; Organising and planning; Analytical; Office administration; Proven computer literacy.
