An NQF 6 qualification in Labour Relations / Labour Relations Management / Labour Law / LLB or equivalent as recognized by SAQA. Three (3) years’ experience in the Labour Relations field of which two (2) years must be at a supervisory level. Valid driver’s license (with exception of persons with disability).
DUTIES :
Coordinate and facilitate Labour Relations issues (i.e. grievances, misconduct and disputes). Represent the department in disciplinary hearings. Finalizing grievances and complaints from employees. Coordinating and supporting the department in disputes referred to bargaining councils, as well as related forums. Facilitate the implementation of the Labour Relations policies, guidelines, procedures and provide advice, therefore. Conduct workshops/awareness on labour relations matters. Represent the department at the Provincial Chambers and management of strikes. Ensure keeping of appropriate records and statistics as required by law. Make inputs to the development of policies and procedures related to labour relations management and implement such policies and procedures in dealing with labour relations cases. Manage and facilitate resources (financial, human and physical) in accordance with relevant directives and legislation.
