This position requires a degree in Financial Management, Project Management, or equivalent qualification at NQF 7. A postgraduate qualification in Financial Management, Project Management or equivalent degree at NQF 8 will be an added advantage. This position also requires 6 years of work experience in relevant field, 3 years of which should be in a supervisory position/s.
The following competencies are required for the candidate to be successful in this position:. extensive knowledge on the management of organisational finance; advanced project management knowledge and skills, DFFE reporting systems, donor funding knowledge, and contract management; comprehensive knowledge of Public Finance Management Act, Treasury Regulations, Generally Recognised Accounting Practice, financial report writing, people management skills, financial management, supply chain management, corporate governance and risk management skills will be advantageous; proven ability to work under pressure with a diverse team, whilst being quality, cost, and safety conscious is essential; advanced planning, organizing, interpersonal, problem solving, project and event management skills; excellent communication skills (both verbal and written); excellent computer literacy and experience in the application of software tools including (Ms Word, MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Internet and Outlook) will be advantageous. The possession of a valid driver’s licence with at least one-year practical driving experience and a willingness to travel is essential.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
Manage of current and investment bank accounts;
Ensure compliance with SCM policy, processes, procedures, PFMA and other National Treasury Regulatory requirements;
Manage financial records, cashbooks, bank reconciliations and monthly financial reports;
Manage design and updates of financial reporting systems and schedules;
Act as a liaison between all stakeholders regarding financial management of infrastructure/garden expansion and other infrastructure projects; and
Perform financial administrative co-ordination, assistance and support to Curators, Administration Clerks and Implementers on infrastructure and garden expansion projects.
