    Assistant Director: Marketing and Communications REF: QCTO 223

    Key functions: 

    • Assist in managing, monitoring, and controlling external and internal communication initiatives and the distribution of important information through various channels, including but not limited to print, online, email, thought leadership articles, press releases, presentations, etc. 
    • Responsible for conceptualizing internal events in line with other business units, e.g., Wellness events, Commemoration of important days, etc. including photographic services. 
    • Responsible for developing, writing, reviewing, and disseminating all marketing and promotional communications in various channels and mediums. 
    • Provide creative concepts and implement design layouts for QCTO campaigns, projects, events/exhibitions and all marketing and communication products in accordance with the Corporate Identity Manual. 
    • Coordinate multimedia content, including photographs and digital publications for the website; support the Web Administrator by supplying multimedia content for the website, intranet, and social media accounts. 
    • Responsible for managing, creating, and uploading content to all social media sites, including the website, YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook. 
    • Responsible for the line management of the Reception team, acting as a main point of contact for Reception staff, offering support and providing mentoring, training, and monitoring Reception staff. 
    • Assist in developing and monitoring stakeholder communication plans, including the creation and updating of stakeholder databases regularly. 
    • Assist in managing, monitoring, and controlling marketing and communication-related business continuity plans. 
    • Assist in managing the marketing performance plan. 

    Requirements:

    • A minimum of a recognized three (3) years National Diploma/Occupational Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree (Minimum NQF level 6) in Communication / Marketing / Public Relations. 
    • Minimum of six (6) years of experience in the areas of Marketing, Communications, and Multimedia productions, of which three (3) years must be in a supervisory level position. 
    • Experience in researching and writing for publications, including writing content for websites is essential. 
    • Proficient in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
