Assistant Director: Quality Management Systems at Department of Water and Sanitation

Requirements

• A relevant NQF Level 6 qualification is required. The candidate must have three (3) to (5) five years’ experience in implementing ISO 9001 within a construction or engineering-related environment, as well as three (3) to (5) five years’ experience auditing ISO 9001.
• Experience in implementing a quality management system within an ISO 9001-certified organization will be an added advantage and must be clearly indicated in the application.

Duties

• Plan and coordinate quality management system activities to obtain ISO 9001 certification in a construction/engineering environment. Coordinate the development of quality management system policies, guidelines, templates, and monitoring tools. Prepare and conduct presentations to stakeholders. Stakeholder engagement. Ensure business process mapping activities are conducted.
• Ensure effective document management systems are in place aligned to organizational requirements. Ensure ISO 9001 certification is maintained once certification is obtained. Plan and ensure implementation of the auditing program. Compile audit reports.
• Ensure management review meetings take place timeously. Monitor customer satisfaction. Monitor actions to address non-conformities. Reporting to management. Supervision of staff. Ensure a high standard of quality is maintained in all meetings/activities/reporting.
