Assistant Financial Accountant: General Ledger and Assets at Companies & Intellectual Property Commission

Key performance areas:

• To ensure that the treatment of fixed assets, inventory and the cash book is in accordance with financial best practise, in a timely and complete manner and according to the policies and procedures of the CIPC;
• To make input into operating policies, procedures and guidelines;
• To provide the necessary reports and support to management;
• To report on performance and identify and escalate performance constraints and any risks;

Requirements

Required Minimum Education/training:

• B. Degree in Accounting
• Postgrad in Accounting would be advantageous

Required Minimum Experience:

• 2-3 years of accounting work experience in the Private or Public Sector,
• Good working knowledge of Excel spreadsheets and an understanding account systems (example Sage 300 people)
