Key performance areas:

• To ensure that the treatment of fixed assets, inventory and the cash book is in accordance with financial best practise, in a timely and complete manner and according to the policies and procedures of the CIPC;
• To make input into operating policies, procedures and guidelines;

• To report on performance and identify and escalate performance constraints and any risks;

Requirements

Required Minimum Education/training:

• B. Degree in Accounting
• Postgrad in Accounting would be advantageous

Required Minimum Experience:

• 2-3 years of accounting work experience in the Private or Public Sector,
• Good working knowledge of Excel spreadsheets and an understanding account systems (example Sage 300 people)

Key performance areas:

• Planning, coordinating and overseeing activities related to integration of software programs and applications into the organization's information systems;
• Responsible for ensuring that the technical architecture is followed and that services necessary to meet the changing needs of the organization are implemented and maintained;
• Provide Input to the “blueprint” or technology architecture that drives the other services;
• Support the planning, implementation and maintenance of distributed internet architecture;
• Work with the Application Development Services and other Infrastructure Services groups to plan and execute integration strategies necessary for the integration of information or functions between key application services and systems;
• Support the integration strategy for the organization’s applications.
• Support of the performance monitoring of application platforms including the physical platforms and the services that support those applications. Technologies include Informix, Oracle, Microsoft and UNIX variants.
• Responsible for assessing and supporting the implementation of packaged application solutions.
• Liaison between the infrastructure, the data and the applications groups, supporting team dynamics through which the developers, infrastructure staff and network engineers can effectively communicate.

Requirements

Required minimum education/training:

• National Diploma in Information Technology (Software development) OR Computer Science Degree OR equivalent.

Required minimum work experience:

• 2 – 5 years’ experience in systems design, and/or software design desired.
• Experience in web applications support and maintenance, directing and evaluating complex operations
• Experience in the support of planning, directing and evaluating complex operations to accomplish long-term and short-term goals of the Business.
• Success in implementing real-time application and technology performance management solutions.
• Experience in code review, source code collaborative tools i.e. TFS and GitHub.
• Architecture analysis, Integration problem analysis and SQL queries.

A working knowledge of/experience with:

• A strong experience in Secured RESTful API, Web Services and Oracle REST Services Data Services.
• Payment gateway integration: new developments, applications maintenance and applications support.
• Database technologies (Oracle, MS SQL, Informix);
• SSRS reports integration.
• Good understanding of web and enterprise applications; Understanding of web & Oriented Architecture technologies and programming languages including .NET, C#.

Added Advantages

• Programming experience with Python.
• Experience in middleware technologies such as IBM MQ WebSphere Messaging Queue advantageous.
• K2 Five and Advanced.
• NET experience advantageous or Java; development/support/operations.
• Good understanding of distributed applications (Applications URL security).

Required Minimum Education/training:

• Three Year Qualification in Computer Science or certification in IT Programming
• Alternatively, experience needs to be demonstrated in all three required programming languages.

Required Minimum Experience:

• Mobile “full stack” development experience, minimum 2 years.
• At least 2 years web/API developer experience.
• Demonstrable portfolio of released applications on the APP/PLAY stores.
• Proven experience of applying cross platform mobile frameworks e.g., ionic, Codename One, React Native etc.
• In-depth knowledge of object oriented programming e.g., C#, GO, Java, Objective-C, Swift, etc.
• Knowledge of backend integration between mobile applications and databases.
• Familiarity with OOP design principles.

• Design interfaces to improve user experience
• Liaise with Product development team to plan new features
• Ensure new and legacy applications meet quality standards
• Research and suggest new mobile products, applications and protocols
