Assistant Manager - VME - Johannesburg at Ernst & Young Global Limited (EY)

Your key responsibilities

•  As an Assistant Manager within our VM&E team you're likely to spend your day to day advising clients on complex financial and capital decisions.
• You will be working with them to understand their data, their strategic requirements and create analysis using financial modelling and data analytics techniques aligned to their strategic priorities.
• You will work directly with clients in ensuring timely delivery of their needs and manage the engagement and the overall quality of work performed.  
• You will also review complex models developed by our clients and critique models both their logical and commercial integrity.

To qualify for the role you must have

•  Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering or a related field, plus 5 years of post-bachelor's, progressive related work experience; OR a Master's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering or a related field, plus 4 years of related work experience.
• Superior financial modelling skills in MS Excel.
• At least 2 years of experience developing financial models and analytical solutions from scratch, utilizing best practice methodologies and performing quality control procedures.
• At least 1 year of experience of managing projects from start to finish.
• Ability to provide sound guidance to team members to ensure the completion of work deliverables.

Ideally, you’ll also have

•  CFA certification or significant progress towards these or similar certifications.
